Species in this section produce clusters of flowers from leafless canes. The type species for the section is Dendrobium lawesii. This striking species produces flowers in a wide array of colors including bicolor forms. Also featured this month is the first part of a multipart series on Cattleya violacea by Juraj Kojš.
